Dreams of Gold – Prospector’s View Hike
Quick and easy hike great for kids and families. I actually took more time than usual on this one and enjoyed the wildlife and scenery.
Kindra Grabow – Queen Creek, AZ
Take a walk and then take a seat and soak in the inspiring views that most people only experience in their dreams. Views of the Goldfield Mountains, the San Tans, South Mountain, Flatiron, Four Peaks, remnants of historic mining attempts, and the gorgeous skyline of the Phoenix valley can all be attained on Prospector’s View Trail. These very views are even more magnificent during sunset when the beautiful Arizona sky flies the State’s colors and the mountains beam a vibrant orange. The path can be loose at times, but offers three separate locations with benches for those needing a breather. If you happen to come at the end of a rainy winter season you are likely to find a spectacular wildflower display that is rivaled only by our gorgeous Arizona sunsets. Lost Dutchman State Park has an entrance fee (usually less than $10 per vehicle).
